Do you ever wonder where the food on your plate comes from?

If so, you are among many.  And you should care about the food you eat, because the farmers and ranchers that produce it care too.

The beef industry is an important part of Canada

Each year, Canadians eat 3.4 billion pounds of beef that is produced by over 60,000 Canadian ranchers. The beef industry is an important part of the Canadian economy.  Ranches, feedlots, packing plants, transport companies, and many other businesses rely on cattle. As the sixth largest beef exporter in the world, the beef industry is an important part of Canada.

This website will inform you about beef production and nutrition and provide educators with quality resources on these topics…with some fun too!
